Day 4

This morning got up with a massive headache and I was super tired. I decided to go back to sleep and not do a workout this am. Instead, I will most likely walk to work and take a nice long walk on my break then do my workout in the evening after work.

I was contemplating a lot that I was going to do it on a Saturday but I wanted that day to be my day off. I don't want to get off of the routine that much, but as long as I am squeezing my workouts in my schedule then that should be okay, right?

I find that it is getting tough to stay on track but if I can defeat these excuses and continue to do things right, not let social media or anything else get in the way, then I will get things done and see results.

Last night tried on my brides maid dress for a wedding that I am in this summer and it was motivation for me to continue with my workout to tone and shape my arms, gut and legs.

Hope you all have a great day.

Day 3

I feel as though things are a little tough today. It has been difficult to watch what I eat because when I workout, I think I can just eat whatever I want because I'm burning off the calories. I can be a healthy eater but it's trying to fight the cravings of the not so good foods and the prep of the healthy stuff. We live in a world that is so lazy that even chopping food is a chore...

Day 2

Today I slept in because I was tired. I went to bed late last night after watching another episode of Once Upon a Time. It's an addicting show, especially when you just started and when it is on Netflix! Anyways, I set my alarm to 7:30 and slept in for 30 extra minutes. I did my workout routine and worked on toning and lengthening my muscles. I was sweating a lot. Phew!

I went to work, came home, had supper and debated whether to go for a walk. Reason being is because I saw rain clouds coming and wasn't sure if it was going to pour the rest of the night or not. It started to rain a little then it seemed to clear up. I decidedtogo andifigot caught the rain then I get caught in the rain. 15 minutes in, it starts to pour! I can handle a little rain but I don't like pouring rain...

I took a short cut across a field and started to run home. The problem was, I could run for very long because I have been battling a cold and it was very hard on my lungs. I had to stop after 2 blocks. I made it home soaked and as I got home, the rain stopped and the sun was shining....  I debated going back out but I felt as though I still need to take care of my body and fight this cold. I need to rest a little and not over do it.

The problem that I have, and it has been difficult is that I feel as though every workout and every day has to be perfect. I look at these documentary videos and see that the weight loss that they do seems so easy. Every diet that people show of people trying to loose weight make it look so easy, but it's not. I realize that everything doesn't have to be perfect. My days don't have to be perfect all the time. As long as I get my workout in at least once a day, I will be fine. It's just that if I totally jump the wagon, them I'm back to square one.

It is a challenging fact that I believe I have to deal with personally - being a perfectionist and having to do everything right to feel satisfied and having to do everything very specific and oriented all the time to ,make the results work and happen fast.

I know it won't happen fast and I know that I need to put in the effort but I have to stop being a perfectionist and start being a realist.

Day 1

I have been wanting to be more healthy these past couple of months. I have been trying to set up some sort of work out routine but the problem was that there was no consistency within my own work schedule and it was difficult for me to follow through at times. I also have been having a hard time to spend time with God. My spiritual life is just not kicking well and I realize that if I am wanting to become healthy physically, why not spiritually as well?

Yesterday I came up with a plan. If I wake up at 7am everyday, I do my workout first thing, then I have breakfast along with doing devotions and having time of prayer and being with God. That would be great to start the day! I now have a consistent work schedule of 10-6 so that makes things all better. I then would head out for a walk in the evening for about an hour if possible. Saturday and Sunday’s would be my “rest” days but I would walk at least an hour on one or both of those days.

I thought that this plan would be great and hope to see results! But the problem that I have is commitment and accountability. I figure I would do a blog each day to express my feelings and track my progress. I would like to post more videos than messages but whatever happens, happens!

Each week I will post my weight and measurements. Every two weeks I will be posting pictures of myself to see the changes.

My goal at the end of this is to be at a size 12. Right now I believe I am at a size 20 but I do fit size 18 but its tight! My first goal to loose weight is 50 lbs and after that, I’ll see how much more to loose at a healthy rate. In total I would love to loose 100 lbs but I need for that to be at a healthy state.

So, here begins my journey.

Weight: 254 lbs

Measurements
Arms: 15
Bust 45.5
Waist: 43.5
Hips: 52
Thighs: 30
